Made from inside the hobby

Technology should support the table—not replace it.

Arcane Overlay began with a simple frustration: tabletop games imagine incredible things, but bringing those moments to a physical map usually requires too much preparation or technical effort.

The physical table is the point.

Miniatures, maps, dice and the people around them create something a screen cannot reproduce. Arcane Overlay is being built to add movement, light and practical control to that shared space while preserving what makes it work.

The standard is not merely whether an effect looks impressive. It has to be useful when players are waiting, initiative is moving and the DM is already managing a dozen things.

The product principle

If the effect interrupts the encounter, the workflow is not finished.

Arcane Overlay treats speed and spectacle as part of the same design problem.

The direction

A practical standard for projected tabletop play.

The long-term opportunity is a complete, repeatable system that works for home DMs and commercial game spaces without demanding an AV specialist at every session.
